SAMOSA SANDWICH
Ingredients
4 samosas
8 triangle white bread slices
Butter as required
Green chutney for spreading and serving
Date-tamarind chutney for drizzling and serving
2 medium onions, cut into roundels
Salt to taste
Fresh pomegranate pearls as required
4 cheese slices
Sev as required
Potato chips for serving
Method
1. To prepare one sandwich, spread some butter on 2 triangle white bread slices.
2. Spread some green chutney on the butter side of one bread slice, place one samosa in the center and crush.
3. Drizzle some date-tamarind chutney, place 2 onion roundels, sprinkle some salt, pomegranate pearls. Cut one cheese slice into 2 equal triangles and place on top.
4. Spread some green chutney on the butter side of another bread slice and place on the prepared bread slice with green chutney side down.
5. Heat an electric griller and grease with some butter. Place the sandwiches, cover and grill till golden brown.
6. Cut into halves, sprinkle some sev and pomegranate pearls on top and serve hot with green chutney, date-tamarind chutney and potato chips.
