Chanda’s aim is life is to give her teenage daughter the best possible education and to ensure that she doesn’t have to face Chanda’s struggles. But her daughter cannot surmount that bane of every schoolkid - maths, and surrenders to the idea that her mother won’t be able to afford her higher education any way.
